Nicolas Bailey
Hi, my name is Nic Bailey. I'm a freshman at Mcquaid Jesuit and have been rowing for Mcquaid since I was in Seventh Grade for a total of four seasons, as of January 2019. This will be my first time participating in the Row for Hope event. Homelessness is obviously an important and tragic issue and I feel that the House of Mercy greatly helps homeless people get a meal or a place to rest, making them a perfect place to donate to. I personally have assisted at the House of Mercy under many circumstances, for Row for Hope or just personal service hours. I really do appreciate the House of Mercy and the Row for Hope and I anticipate rowing for the event.
Will Creighton
My name is Will Creighton. I am a sophomore at McQuaid Jesuit. I have been rowing for six seasons now and I am very excited for the Row for Hope. I grew up very fortunate and want to help others who did not have the same opportunities as me. With all of the bad stuff going on in the world, it will be nice to know my friends and I are making a positive impact no matter the size. Mental illness and homelessness are major problems in today's society and are often swept under the carpet. I am hoping to bring awareness to these problems.
Gage Gardinier
My name is Gage Gardinier and this will be my second year participating in Row for Hope. I am a junior and I have been rowing for McQuaid Crew for three years. Rowing the canal for eight days is not easy, but the unforgettable experience is one of the best that I have had and I look forward to the challenge again this year. I am so pleased that our mission this year is to support the House of Mercy and the people in my community who are in need.
Josh Grams
My name is Josh Grams and I am a freshman at McQuaid Jesuit. I have rowed for two seasons and coxswained for one. This will be my first year being involved with Row for Hope. I am very excited to get on the water for a good cause such as raising money for the House of Mercy. Helping the community is something that I always try to do as much as I can. Taking something I love and making it into something that helps others is the least I can do. Homeless people are some of the most marginalized people in our society and I would like to do as much as I can to give them the chances I have had.
Nicholas Hann
My Name is Nicholas Hann, and I am a junior at McQuaid Jesuit High School. I have been rowing on the Crew Team for 2 years. I wanted to take part in this year's Row for Hope because its doing something that I enjoy and its for a very good cause, the House of Mercy. As someone who has the ability to help out others in need, I feel like I need to do what I can to help out those in need at the House of Mercy. Please consider donating to the Row for Hope.
Bryan Sanchez
My name is Bryan Sanchez and I have been rowing for McQuaid for four years. I'm currently a junior and have already done Row for Hope in the past, but I enjoyed it so much that I decided I will do it again. I look forward to raising money for The House of Mercy.
Steven Shadders
My name is Steven Shadders, and I am 16 years old and a Junior at McQuaid. I have been on the Crew team for one year, and I am very excited to do the Row for Hope. Giving up time to help people is something I take pride in doing, and I think that this is the perfect opportunity for me to raise money to help others have better lives.

Cooper VanMaaren
My name is Cooper VanMaaren. I am a sophomore at McQuaid Jesuit. I have rowed for McQuaid for three seasons. Not only am I a coxswain but I will be putting in my work and effort into rowing the boat as well. When I heard of this opportunity to row for a good cause and be able to raise money for these charities, I was on board and wanted to do this event so badly. It is a community of volunteers and workers all trying to raise awareness for homelessness. House of Mercy needs support from the community in any way that can help. We are raising money for the homeless shelter and raising awareness about homelessness. Please consider donating towards the cause of providing safe shelter for the homeless and raising awareness about mental illness. Any size of donations will help the volunteers, workers and most importantly, the homeless. I want to exceed our goal of $45,000 and I would love to see us blow that goal out of the water. Thank you for donating. Your money will go towards a good cause.
